Upon arrival, the butler had asked me which night he wanted me to have him lay out an elaborate display of rose petals on our bed, fill the oversized tub, light candles and prepare the room for a romanticinterlude, which I took to be a nice touch.
That's prosaic in comparison, and the first act is not quite as nimble as it might have been (there's a necessary framing device, but also a redundant romanticinterlude concocted by screenwriter David Magee for reasons that have more to do with conventional Hollywood wisdom than the demands of this particular tale).
