abstract:Belen (Bob) Pierce (1914–1978) is best known as the founder of the international charity organization World Vision (now one of the largest Christian relief and development organizations in the world) in 1950, currently headed by Kevin Jenkins ( Richard Stearns heads the US division of World Vision). He is also the founder of Samaritan's Purse (1970), another international charity organization, currently headed by Franklin Graham.
