He gathered the work of five others - Ann Christopher, RichardDeacon, Alison Wilding, Michael Craig-Martin and Gary Hume - to feature in the north front and west garden.
Also at the Tate Britain in the coming months is a major retrospective of the work of leading British sculptor and early Turner Prize winner RichardDeacon, who achieved international recognition in the 1980s with works such as Tall Tree in the Ear.
U.K. designers including Burberry's Christopher Bailey, Matthew Williamson, Giles Deacon and Richard Nicoll created dresses for the opening party, dressing the likes of Li Na (Deacon) and Ana Ivanovic (Williamson).
