abstract:Spanish Reconquest or just Reconquest is a period of the history of Chile that starts with the Disaster of Rancagua in 1814 and ends in 1817 with the victory in the Battle of Chacabuco. During this time the defenders of the Spanish Empire restore its domain in Chile, while the patriots try to spread the independence ideas among the people, this was made by the guerrilla of Manuel Rodríguez Erdoiza.
Since a reconquest then became impossible, the Egyptian troops were withdrawn, and the allies were able to impose a settlement whereby Greece became an independent kingdom under their protection.
