Raymond Lambert

• abstract: Raymond Lambert (18 October 1914 – 25 February 1997) was a Swiss mountaineer, who with Sherpa Tenzing Norgay reached an altitude of 8611 metres (just 237 metres from the summit) of Mount Everest in May 1952. At the time it was the highest point that a climber had ever reached.
