Some players in the provisional Nations Cup squad have been excluded from both friendlies but Mashaba said he is only using their absence to give other players a chance.
He added that there had been no disruptions in the run-up to England's final game before manager Fabio Capello's provisional World Cup squad is announced, despite the unusual circumstances surrounding preparations.
Capello will name a provisional 30-man World Cup party on Tuesday, with that then pared down to the final 23 by 1 June ahead of England's Group C opener against the United States on 12 June.
