abstract:The Privy Council of Thailand (, khana ongkhamontri thai) is a body of appointed advisors to the Monarch of Thailand: King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The Council, as the Constitution of Thailand stipulates, must be composed of no more than eighteen members.
She appears to want to appease the royal bureaucracy, embodied in the figure of General Prem Tinsulanonda, the head of the privycouncil, so as to smooth the way for the return to Thailandof her elder brother by the end of the year.
