However, two hours later, Mandell received word that he was to report to prison Monday, June 18th, to the federal prison in Petersburg, VA, some 900 miles from his residence in south Florida.
If he is to go to prison, he has appealed to stay near his family in Florida versus the current designation of Petersburg, VA. During his sentencing, Mandell said he is financially ruined and living off of loans from family members.
