abstract:Pono is a proposed music download-service, player, and audio format, currently under development by Neil Young. According to press-releases, Pono's aims are "to confront the compressed audio inferiority that MP3s offer", "to present songs as they first sound during studio recording sessions," and to launch in early 2014.
