The results showed that the eastern coastal provinces keep a “high-high” special correlation mode with the provinces around,thus congregating area of economic development was formed. The western provinces still remain a “low-low” special correlation mode with the northeastern and southwestern provinces; some provinces such as Guangdong remain a “high-low” mode with the provinces around that formed several “polarization center”,althought some provinces such as Guangxi formed several “downfold”. However,a decreasing trend can be found within these “polarization center” and “downfold”. In a.foreseeable period,the situation of population distribution pattern will be steady density in eastern and sparse in western.
