abstract:Phellinus pini is a plant pathogen usually known as "Red ring rot" and "White speck." Historically, it has caused massive economic losses to the unsuspecting who have purchased older timber stands expecting good yields of lumber, as its presence often degrades a large tree to pulp wood quality.
