abstract:Phason is a quasiparticle existing in quasicrystals due to their specific, quasiperiodic lattice structure. Similar to phonon, phason is associated with atomic motion.
Akind ofone-dimensionalquasi-periodicgrating is designed. Theselfsimilar diffractionspectra are evaluated and the influenceof the phasonstrength onthe structurefactor is studied.
