abstract:Peace Tower is an art installation by Mark di Suvero and others. It was first conceived and constructed in 1966 as The Artists' Tower of Protest in Los Angeles, California to protest the Vietnam War.
Mr Sicilia has called for the "Tower of Light", an existing monument built for the bicentennial of Mexico's independence, to be turned into a "Tower of Peace", in memory of the victims of the drug war.
