abstract:The Paramount Theater stood from 1920 to 1960 on Peachtree Street between Ellis and Houston (now John Wesley Dobbs) streets in downtown Atlanta, next to Loew's Grand Theatre. It was designed by architectural firm Hentz, Reid & Adler.
But in Paramount's case, the studio's moves have angered theater owners, who fear that if consumers get used to films coming out on DVD just weeks after they've been in theaters, they'll forgo the tickets and popcorn and just watch movies at home.
