Religious parties look set to win dominant roles in ruling coalitions and it will soon be possible to judge their commitment to minority rights orpluralism by their deeds rather than just their words.
For all these reasons, it is not meaningful to speak of cultural rights or, more broadly, of sustainable pluralism outside of a linked commitment to the political economy of dignity.
Media that discriminates against its professionals on the basis of gender, ethnic origin, disability or otherwise, severely compromises the independence and pluralism of information conveyed to local, national and international communities.
