In just the Bush years alone, Washington enacted two major pieces of omnibus energy legislation, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
Even more ironic, he attached the legislation to an omnibus spending bill that spent taxpayer funds on countless earmarks, special interests and rent seekers.
