The paper introduces the discovery process of a ten-million-ton-level Nugeda reservoir in Honghorsut depression. The successful discovery of the Nugeda reservoir is the result of strengthening the exploration of new depression, obeying exploration procedure, pursuing exploration efficiency, using advanced and suitable techniques, high efficiency and high speed implementation. The successful experiences can be taken as an object lesson for the further exploration in new depressions of Erlian basin.
