No recent article on foreign policy is getting more attention than one by the Carnegie Endowment's Robert Kagan in Policy Review, published by Stanford University's Hoover Institution (www.policyreview.org).
The court held by six votes to one that there would be no violation of Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman and degrading treatment) of the European Convention on Human Rights if the two failed asylum seekers - referred to as Mr H and Mr B - were removed to Afghanistan.
The women assert that the actions of the undercover officers breached their rights as protected by the European Convention on Human Rights, including Article 3 (no one shall be subject to inhumane and degrading treatment) and Article 8 (respect for private and family life, including the right to form relationships without unjustified interference by the state).
