The health benefits of tea are still being discovered today: preventing heart disease, obesity and cancer have all been linked to drinking green tea, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information in the US.
These included aging network supports (such as the Eldercare Locator, the ombudsman program, the NationalCenter on Elder Abuse, and several counseling programs aimed at helping seniors enroll in benefits programs).
"We don't have to be married to enjoy many of the benefits that traditionally were exclusive to marriage, " said Susan Brown, co-director of the NationalCenter for Family and Marriage Research at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
