“It was good.” I walked upstairs and pulled down the stairs to the attic. Most kids might feel neglected if their parents made them live in the attic. But I didn't really mind. I had my own space, and they never bothered me up here.In fact, I didn't think they had ever been up there. I had a desk, my own mini bathroom, and a bunk bed. I had decorated it myself. Since there were no walls, I had put up lime green and teal fabric to cover up the boards on the wall. Thankfully there was one window. It was one of the only things that kept me sane. I put my purse on my desk and opened the window. I guess the view wasn't too bad. From up here I could see almost our whole “farm”, which consisted of an old run down barn, half of a silo, and my mom's vegetable garden. My dad had said for years he was going to get a cow, but thankfully, that had yet to happen.
