Muthoni Muya said she was inspired to become a buddy at ISCRE after meeting an Afghan refugee, who claimed he was being abused while working as a taxi driver.
That may look like overcapacity now, but Muya said the bank wants to expand to 10 million customers over the next few years, not only in Kenya but also in Southern Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania and Congo DRC.
