The best known is, of course, the Negresco, an idiosyncratic grand dame crammed with museumquality antiques, vivid color schemes and crazy stuff such as glittery bathtubs.
Most accommodations are in highly individualized and carefully decorated freestanding cottages, decorated with original museumquality art and featuring king-size feather beds and sitting areas with wood-burning fireplaces and screened porches.
The often packed house includes the main section of the fair in which blue chip galleries have booths where all works on view are for sale, including museumquality pieces, and the rest of the space is devoted to smaller sections.
