Muhyiddinsaid the government gave serious attention to Quranic education, not only on tahfiz (memorisation) but also tafsir (interpretation), ulum (science of) and al-Qiraat (recitation) of the Quran.
Muhyiddin, who is Education Minister, said the Government planned to identify much earlier students who were more hands-on and less academically-inclined to join the vocational stream before they entered Form Three.
