abstract:MonaVie manufactures and distributes products made from blended fruit and vegetable juice concentrates, powders and purées through a multi-level marketing (MLM) business model. MonaVie has been the subject of several controversies, notably: health claims for its products have not been scientifically confirmed or approved by regulatory authorities, its CEO was previously involved in false health claims of another beverage, its business plan resembles a pyramid scheme, and few of its distributors actually make a profit.
