The only time I remember missing out on a movie in the days of DVDs was when the power went out at my house, which says something about the connected nature of the public cloud.
Far from inciting me to give up on movies, extended exposure to "Homeland" has helped me appreciate the inimitable strengths of themovie medium, as well as clarify what's missing in most studio product.
And what's missing from, I think, almost all these movies is that wonderful moment in themovie musical where everything was heightened just before they burst into song.
