abstract:A microconsole is a class of small video game consoles. The term has been used to describe low-cost Android-based devices that are designed to connect to televisions and play video games downloaded from an application store, such as Google Play.
Further down the road, the MicroConsole will apparently even have 3D gaming support, as the company's figured out a way to encode and decode a pair of discrete video streams with this very hardware.
