Jay carried Michelle out to the car and put her in the backseat while I climbed into the drivers seat. As I drove to the hospital, I continuously checked the backseat to glance at Michelle. Every time she was laying in the same position in Jay's arms. I put my foot down, pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor. The speedometer reached 95 miles an hour about ten minutes away from the hospital. The exact moment that blue lights flashed in my rearview. I hesitated. Should I stop or should I run? I definitely wanted to keep going. Michelle needed help, fast. I could not lose her. That wasn't an option. But I really couldn't be arrested when she needed so much help either.
