abstract:Metro Express is an express bus service in Los Angeles County, California, operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Buses are usually express for a portion of the route, then run either local or limited stop in other areas and are identified by numbers in the 400's going to and from downtown and 500's for suburb-to-suburb trips.
The freenewspaperMetro Express is availableat dedicated newsstands, and vendingmachines at the stations dispense breakfast, sellinghot and colddrinksandsnacks.
The 40 highlighted projects for support from the plan include the Transpennine Express line between Leeds and Manchester, the Metro system in Tyne and Wear as well as improvements to the M25, M3 and M56.
Among other innovations, it set up Tesco Express, combining convenience stores and petrol retailing, Tesco Metro, the small, urban stores and a small number of much larger stores on the hypermarket model including its flagship Tesco Kensington store.
