The programme aims to help Moroccan citizens more effectively engage with media and the Internet and to develop critical competencies in using information by placing Media and Information Literacy in the formal national school curricula.
For Aller Media, whose products encompass everything from magazines to television, radio and web-based media, it means taking current competencies and strengths, and lifting them onto new platforms and into new times.
In concluding, the Director-General welcomed the proposal to explore avenues of cooperation in order to develop and disseminate knowledge on much needed intercultural competencies in particular in areas such as education and the media so as to create new opportunities to address conflict prevention and promote enhanced collaboration amongst diverse communities and respect for differences through dialogue.
