Marital rape
abstract:Marital rape, also known as spousal rape, is non-consensual sex in which the perpetrator is the victim's spouse. It is a form of partner rape, of domestic violence, and of sexual abuse.
The initial version of the bill was drafted to criminalize physical and sexual abuse, so-called "honor crimes" and maritalrape, create specially-trained domestic violence response units within the police, and provide the legal framework for restraining orders to be issued against abusers.
