He staggered back as blood splurted from his nose all over her and Jack's nice white shirt. Marie started cussing, loudly, as she held her hand. She hopped over to the door, leaning on it. Jack opened the door and caught her before she could fall, and took in the scene. He carried Marie to the kitchen, kicking the door shut behind him. He sat her down on the table and he rushed around, grabbing a towel, filled it with ice and wrapped it around her bruised hand. Marie whimpered, but soon the swelling had gone down and she was able to tell Jack what'd happened. Well, she left out what he'd said to anger her enough to punch him. She merely said he pissed her off.
