West Midlands Police said the number of fatal knife incidents dropped from 20 between April 2002 and March2003 to 10 in the same period in 2011 to 2012.
Employment in the securities industry nationwide fell 10.7% from its peak in March 2001 to October 2003, according to figures from the Securities Industry Association.
