The Times of London still sits behind an all-but-impermeable paywall, erected a year ago, that has not only devastated web traffic but coincided with a major drop in print circulation as well.
Meanwhile, the Post just reported one of the biggest circulation drops of any major newspaper with the lucrative Sunday edition selling 5.2% fewer copies and the daily edition skidding almost 10%.
The classifieds business has been eviscerated by the online equivalents, display advertising is declining and so are circulations and circulation revenues: those are the three major revenue sources for a newspaper.
