After the PowerBook got transformed into the MacBookPro, the iBook into the MacBook, and the iMac and Mac mini got Intel makeovers, it was time to attack the pro desktop segment, a place where only Intel's Core 2-based Xeon "Woodcrest" processors could manage.
Some reports also say Apple will introduce other new products at the event, including a 13-inch MacBookPro with "retina display" and an upgraded Mac Mini.
