I know it would never happen, but I had hopped Shane would be waiting for me to wake up, and he would meet me at the bottom of the staircase with a kiss. Then he would sweep me off my feet and we would spend the whole day together, just the two of us, walking the beach, looking for seashells. So far, that was not happening.
