Two separate European wars in the last century, as well as the decades-long Cold War, shifted American strategic focus outward, away from the region that had once been foremost in the minds of American strategists.
The Center for Security Policy expects that these debates can -- and must -- serve as a long-overdue focus for national consideration of the direction of U.S. foreign and defense policy in the post-Cold War World.
