The Commons communities and local government committee is set to look into what has been happening at the EHRC when MPs return after the summer recess in October.
During questions from the Commons Communities and Local Government Committee, Mr Boles said this would not remove the need for complying with building regulations and the rule that no more than half of a garden can be used for an extension.
Speaking on 31 January 2012, during the third day of the Local Government Finance Bill's committee stage in the Commons, Mr Raynsford branded the changes a "travesty of localism", claiming local authorities would be left to face the consequences of a lot of "very angry and very unhappy residents".
