abstract:Liquid mirror telescopes are telescopes with mirrors made with a reflective liquid. The most common liquid used is mercury, but other liquids will work as well (for example, low melting alloys of gallium).
To date, the LZT is largest, although India, Belgium and Canada are building the International LiquidMirrorTelescope (ILMT), a 4-meter project which should see completion by March.
