Mr. Secretary General, on behalf of us all, thank you for convening this meeting to address a task that must be the work of all of us -- supporting the people of Libya as they build a future that is free and democratic and prosperous.
With little in the way of accessible domestic reserves, the three Mediterranean states looked to build strong trade routes (Libya-Italy, Spain-Algeria) and bet heavily on a green path forward, with some nuclear thrown in for good measure.
