The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), the body which governs the fire service, has recorded its opposition to the station closures.
It is likely that the vice-chair Richard Tracey, who retained his Assembly seat for Merton and Wandsworth, will take over until LFEPA holds its annual meeting in June.
Green Party Assembly Member Darren Johnson, a member of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) which governs the fire service, was among those who requested the figures.
