The Head of the Russian Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Konstantin Kosachev, has welcomed Washington's decision to drop plans for the missile defense system.

The deal between Washington and Pyongyang "could be a very serious sign that after the change of leadership, the foreign policy of Pyongyang will be changing for the better, " Konstantin Kosachev, a senior Russian parliamentarian from the main pro-Kremlin party, told the Interfax news agency.
