abstract:King Sejong the Great () is a 2008 South Korean historical television series depicting the life of the fourth king of Joseon, Sejong the Great (played by Kim Sang-kyung). Considered one of the greatest kings in Korean history, Sejong created Hangul, the Korean alphabet.
The Project is based on the vision of KingSejongtheGreat (r. 1418-1450), who created the Korean alphabet, Hangeul, and promoted mass literacy education for all.
