abstract:The Khaleeji ( ) was a proposed name for the common currency of the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), except for Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The term 'Khaleeji' is Arabic for "of the Gulf", and is traditionally associated with the Gulf states.
