abstract:John Huston (1710–1795) was a farmer, soldier, merchant and politician in Nova Scotia. He represented Cumberland township from 1759 to 1760 and Cumberland County from 1770 to 1774 in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly.
He wrote the screenplay for John Huston's film Moby Dick and scripts for many TV series, including Suspense, The Alfred Hitchcock Show and The Twilight Zone.

In the early 1950's the ship was spotted by the director of the African Queen, JohnHuston, and pulled temporarily from service so it could be used in the movie.
