From a gory opening sequence of North Korean commandos slicing up death-row prisoners as part of their training, the film sketches a love story between a slinky agent from the North (Korean-American actress Kim YunJin) and the dashing South Korean spy (local superstar Han Suk Kyu) assigned to track her down.
The company's chief, Yun Ho Jin, worked during the 1990s as a senior diplomat at North Korea's mission at the IAEA, where he developed an understanding of the global procurement system, according to U.S. and U.N. officials.
