Oregon junior English Gardner won the women's 60, beating two pros who earned Olympic gold medals as part of the U.S. 4x100 relay, Jeneba Tarmoh and Lauryn Williams.
Kersee also coaches Jeneba Tarmoh, who tied with Felix for a spot on the US. Team in the 100, but decided to drop out rather than compete in a run-off.
Though winner Carmelita Jeter (10.92) and runner-up Tianna Madison (10.91) secured Olympic berths, it appeared that Jeneba Tarmoh had edged three-time Olympic medalist Allyson Felix by a hundredth of a second for the third and final spot.
