abstract:Jason Eric Box, PhD is professor in glaciology at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland. He was for 10 years (2002-2012) at Byrd Polar Research Center at Ohio State University, eventually a tenured physical climatology and geography associate professor in the department of geography.
While it's exciting to work beside world-class scientists such as ice-sheet climatologist JasonBox, glaciologist Alun Hubbard and geophysicist Richard Bates, it's equally disheartening to be here bearing witness to the catastrophic events they record.
JasonBox, a scientist with Ohio State University's Byrd Polar Research Center, has also been monitoring the Petermann Glacier and in September 2011 he told OurAmazingPlanet that a growing crack likely would sever the glacier once warmer weather took hold during the summer months.
