abstract:James Richardson Logan (b 10 April 1819 Berwickshire-Scotland, d 20 October 1869 Penang-Straits Settlements) was the man who popularised the name Indonesia after it was coined by the ethnologist George Windsor Earl.Logan, James Richardson (1850).
Bartlett Sher, who oversaw the show, thanked Rodgers, and Hammerstein, along with original director Joshua Logan and James Michener, who wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning Tales of the South Pacific, the collection of short stories which inspired the production.
