Marcus bumped into Aaron who had stopped walking without him noticing. Aaron motioned for him to put his wings away. Marcus did so and they were both plunged into pitch blackness. It took a moment, but Marcus's eyes adjusted to see basic shapes and a flicker of light emanating from somewhere up ahead.
