为满足财务、金融专业人士对财务英语技能的需要，剑桥大学考试委员会ESOL（English for Speakers of Other Languages）考试部与特许公认会计师公会ACCA（The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants）共同研发了剑桥财务英语国际证书ICFE（Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English）项目，并已于2007年5月举行了全球首次考试。ICFE旨在帮助考生达到日常使用英语处理财会及金融业务的能力。
